Restore Foam Dressing Silver, Non-Adhesive with TRIACT Technology is a non-adhesive, non-occlusive, antimicrobial absorbent dressing composed of three layers:

• TRIACT Technology wound Contact Layer with Silver Sulfate

• Non-sensitizing, super-absorbent polyurethane foam pad – ensures drainage of exudate and helps protect the skin around the wound from maceration

• Protective, semi-permeable polyurethane backing – allows the dressing to be easily shaped to the anatomical contours of the wound

Antimicrobial Effect

The dressing is particularly effective against bacteria most frequently associated with wound infections. Under a log reduction in vitro test, it has demonstrated an antibacterial activity (at least 4 log reduction) against the following bacteria:

• MRSA (strain ATCC 43300), Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (pyocyanic bacillus). The dressing sustains antibacterial activity for up to seven days in in-vitro studies.

Dressing Characteristics

• As exudate is absorbed into the dressing – silver is released.

• Suitable for use under compression bandaging – due to ability to retain exudate

• Change Frequency – every one to three days, depending upon wound & healing progression • Contains Silver Sulfate 3.22 mg/sq. in. – Ionic Silver
